No Barriers

I seldom get the chance to talk to my friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on with my life... well, this is it. My online journal. Yah, another personal blog, just exactly what the world needs now. Let's be realistic, it's cheaper than overseas calls. Less tiring than novel-like emails.

OOO
Thanks to technology, my mom wakes me up for the past few days via text message. Ha-ha! And if after a few text messages and I am still not up, she calls me thru my cellphone. Nice huh! :) Same for today - I got a text message from her at 9am - "Cel, get up na. It's 9am - di ba me walk tayo?" - Uyy... text-savvy na si nanay.

Yup, this day is for mom & dad. It's their shopping day.

We went to Divisoria. My dad is planning to buy some cloth for his pants. My cousin is getting married on Feb 18, and my dad needs to have something like a brown slacks/pants to match the polo I bought for him. We were able to find the brown cloth, and bought a few more extra (in dark gray and blue). He also bought 2 maong shorts, some tools like pliers, long nose, etc... He already has a lot of those but he has been complaining for the past few days that someone borrowed some of his stuff and did not return it. :(

As for my mom, she bought the cloth that we will be using for our curtains. We bought 9 yards of cloth that will be used for the windows in our living room. We then bought some beads, sequinces and other decorative stuff that we can add to the curtain we have bought. :) She also bought some stuff for our house - from rags to decors. I never knew that we all share the same passion in shopping. Shopaholics united! We have been walking the streets of Divisoria and Quiapo for several hours already and I never heard any complaint from them. Did I mention that my mom is 64yrs old and dad is 67? My mom and dad goes to Quiapo everyday when I was still in G.S. & H.S. to accompany my grandmother in Quinta market. No wonder they are still strong... they are sooo used to a lot of walking.

I am glad I got to spend time with them doing one of my favorite things - Shopping! :)
