I woke up at 4am today (only had 2hrs of sleep, couldn’t sleep last night, feeling a bit restless, until I finally felt sleepy at 2am). My mom and dad were also up at 4. Since I’ve got a long day ahead of me (approx. 4hrs travel time), my dad insisted that I eat breakfast. He asked me what I like for breakfast, and I joked that I’d like to have a tapsilog (tapsilog = beef strips + fried egg + fried rice). When I got out of the shower, there it is – my tapsilog, still hot. My dad bought it from Pares. (sweet!) My friends and I will meet up at Jhim’s house at 5am. I told my parents that I’ll just take a cab – again, my dad insisted that he’ll accompany me in the cab until I get to Jhim’s place. My dad is a bit hard-headed like me. If he tells me he’ll join in the cab, no one can convince him to do otherwise. I tried to persuade him still – need to say that I’m already turning 26, and I have been going home from work in the wee hours of the morning? But still – the king of our house still decides what’s best,... and I am just their princess. :)
