I was looking for a document in my bin, when I found a print out of the brainworks quiz result that I took in 2005.
I took the Brainworks quiz as part of an exercise in our weekly team meeting with our US teammates. Our US TL requested that all of us take the quiz and place the results in a spreadsheet which we all reviewed in one of the calls we had. It was helpful because we did get a picture (I don't expect the results to be a 100% accurate) of each others learning/thinking style. Some more analytical, more creative.. Some prefer visual presentations, a combination of audio and visual...
It's been a while and I was curious to see how my Brain works now. So I decided to take the online quiz:
Cel's Brain Usage Profile Auditory : 35% Visual : 64% Left : 68% Right : 31% And what does this mean? Here's the summary --
I actually agree with some of the things mentioned in the results :) "Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to "catch up" with yourself."
And the last line is soo true... You can "see where you want to go" and even be able to "tell yourself," but find that you are "fighting yourself" at the darndest times. |
