We had a small party at home. Nothing extravagant, just a get-together with relatives from the compound, my cousins and old friends. My aunts were busy preparing the food that will be served in the afternoon -- and if you'd look outside our window, it's like a typical barrio fiesta where people would cook together-- chopping vegetables, preparing the noodles for the pancit, wrapping the ground beef with lumpia wrappers. It looked fun. Sad to say, I was just a spectator. My task was to take care of my nephews while their moms were helping out in the preparations. :)
