I have sent an email to my friend from elementary the other day saying that I am in Germany. Jannet was sooo happy to hear about it and we both decided to meet up on May 5 (Sat), sleep over their house and return to the hotel on Sunday. The last time I saw her was in 2001, and I could still recall saying that she should visit me again in Manila soon...It's funny that I have NEVER thought of the possibility of being sent to Germany and meeting up here. Serendipity. Allan, Jannet and Alyssa picked me up from the hotel at 1:30pm. Jannet and I talked non-stop in the car -- reminiscing about our years in elementary, our crushes in Grade School, the fun things we've done, the stories we used to talk about ;), latest updates about our friends, and a whole lot more. You can imagine how noisy we were in the car :) We had lunch at a Thai restaurant and then strolled around Heidelberg.  There was sort of a medieval festival. There were some people in costumes and some performers (jesters, jugglers, etc). There were also a lot of locals, tourists and students. .JPG)   We then took the train going up the heidelberg castle.    After a lot of pictures, we had ice cream at Haagen-Dazs. (Yum yum!) |
